Celebrate New York City's public realm at the Design Trust's 2011 Art+Design Benefit Auction, to be held November 2nd at Center 548 in West Chelsea. Hosted by event co-chairs Kitty Hawks and Cindy Allen, this event annually attracts more than 500 civic minded, design-savvy New Yorkers for a festive evening of cocktails, conversation and fierce bidding. This year, we're celebrating the tenth anniversary of our visionary study Reclaiming the High Line,
which championed the preservation and reuse of the railway as public open space. Special guests Joshua David and Robert Hammond, Friends of the High Line co-founders, will raise a glass during our special VIP reception.

The focal point of the evening is a silent auction of objects donated by some of the biggest names in the art and design world. This year's event will feature works by Maira Kalman, Maharam, Michele Oka Doner, Piet Oudolf, Knoll, and Karim Rashid. See a sneak peek of some of this year's art and design objects!

The Benefit is the Design Trust's principal fundraiser — 100% of the proceeds support our work to deliver design excellence to New York's public realm via such forward-thinking projects as Making Midtown and Five Borough Farm.
